Watch: Sally Kern Says Gays Worse Than Terrorists...Again

Oklahoma Rep. Sally Kern is back comparing gays to terrorists again — saying gays are actually worse because they’re everywhere, “bombarding” the nation with homosexuality — while the country has only had three terrorist attacks.

FOX25 (via dallas voice):

When you mention the name Sally Kern, most people think of the now-infamous speech she gave two years ago, declaring homosexuals more dangerous to America than terrorists. But that is the first of many misconceptions Kern says she wants to clear up.

“Here in America we’ve had what maybe three known real big terrorist attacks on our nation,” Kern said. “But every day our young people especially, all of us, but our young people especially are in a sense bombarded with the message that homosexuality is normal and natural.”

FRC: Repealing DADT Will Increase HIV Rates Among Soldiers

The antigay Family Research Council has begun using HIV scare tactics to coerce soldiers and their families to rally against DADT repeal efforts.

Spearheaded by FRC’s Dr. Robert Labutta (U.S. Army, Colonel, Ret.), the effort is called, “Mission Compromised: How the military is being used to advance a radical agenda.”

The FRC cites a study in which HIV rates are 50% higher in gay and bisexual men than straight men. The FRC goes on to say “substance abuse, partner violence, depression and childhood sexual abuse” are also part and parcel to being gay.

Karen Ocamb writes on LGBTPOV.com that she is especially worried about such tactics working in the “Age of Anxiety” in which we live.

ACTION ALERT! Call on Clear Channel to Take Responsibility for Jim Quinn’s Pattern of Ugly, Defamatory Attacks Against the LGBT Community

On the July 28 edition of Clear Channel’s nationally syndicated radio program The War Room with Quinn & Rose, host Jim Quinn made defamatory anti-gay comments while discussing a federal case in which a jury ruled that the city of Philadelphia could not bar a Boy Scouts chapter from city-owned property despite the organization’s anti-gay policy.

During the conversation Quinn said:

“You don’t send gay men and young boys out together, okay?” Quinn’s co-host Rose Tennent responded: “Most gay men have nothing to do with the young boys. Make sure that you understand that.”  But Quinn went on to insist: “But I would give you that pedophilia is far more rampant among the gay community than it is among the straight community.”

The hosts continued to “debate” the topic for nearly three minutes.

FRC: Military At Risk of HIV if DADT Repealed

In advance of Congress taking up the Defense Authorization Bill, the antigay Family Research Council launched a campaign last week focused on the provision in the bill to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.  The campaign isn’t just aimed at Congress. FRC’s Tony Perkins is in league with the Religious Right Prop 8 network – which includes TheCall’s Lou Engle – that distributes antigay propaganda to churches in areas where the families of military servicemembers live.  Those families are being targeted by the military for the DADT repeal survey.

Dr. Robert Labutta (U.S. Army, Colonel, Ret.) of the American Family Association was part of the FRC-sponsored webcast (which also included Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe and Montana Rep. Todd Akin) launching “Mission Compromised: How the military is being used to advance a radical agenda.” (Please see Good As You on AFA’s outlandish Bryan Fischer, another participant.) FRC posted the audio and a transcript of the webcast here.
